For over 20 years, the children of our little city on the river- Great Falls Montana needed a place for children to come and enjoy productive, interactive, and educational activities year-round. A 501(c)3 status was applied for and granted. The Children’s Museum of Montana was opened in February of 1999 and has seen over 60,000 visitors. We are the largest and oldest children's museum in Montana and proud of how far we have come. It's a must see for all visitors!
The mission remains the same- To Ignite a Passion for Lifelong Learning! While they are saving lives as a doctor in the Little Falls Clinic, learning about money in the Giant Springs Credit Union, or living on the homestead of the frontier; hands-on play is the goal and their own imagination is the only limitation!
We provide a “world class” experience by keeping our core values of quality, customer service, and integrity close to heart. Small admission fees have allowed us to make the museum accessible to everyone yet it takes donors and sponsors to keep that admission low, exhibits updgrades, and the creation of all new programs and exhibits.
Our strong Board of Directors and museum staff are dedicated to improving existing and developing new museum experiences. The new museum will be aimed at providing more interactive learning with a strong emphasis on our State’s culture and industries.
The Children's Museum of Montana provides children with the opportunity to learn through hands-on exploration of science, math and culture. Come start your adventure today!
Just look for Missy our Pink T-Rex to find our door.
