Community Partners

At the Children's Museum of Montana, we believe in the power of collaboration and community. That's why we actively seek new partnerships and opportunities to expand our services and overall Museum experience.

Conservatory ASL Northwest

We are proud to partner with Conservatory ASL Northwest (C.A.N.) to increase American Sign Language education and exposure in our community through new program development, classes, and immersive experiences.

"C.A.N. is a Deaf-led organization that focuses on the linguistic minority of the American Sign Language community. Our vision includes reaching children and adults of all hearing levels to empower them with access through American Sign Language.

The founders of C.A.N. are deaf and hearing parents of deaf and hearing children. We see the need first hand for a community that embraces linguistic diversity, utilizes and encourages individual strengths, and supports each other in areas of challenge. We believe sign language gives deaf people access to the world and gives the world access to deaf people. We believe sign language benefits everyone."

Benchmark Human Services

Our partnership with Benchmark Human Services allows our organization to play an active role in ensuring access to needed services for families in our community by providing open and neutral space for play, observations, and assessments as needed. We partnered with them in April of 2021 for a free community event providing developmental screenings for children up to 36 months.

"The biggest developmental impacts happen before age three, when our brains are best suited to learn and grow.

Benchmark is involved in all aspects of care for the youngest among us—from overseeing regional programs to providing hands-on services through federal and state programs.

Children’s Services help babies and toddlers with disabilities or delays learn new skills that typically develop during the first three years of life including physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills."
